How Can We Feel Safe?
April is Stress Awareness month, but this year we don’t need a reminder. There’s plenty of fear and worry after this week’s bomb attacks on the Brussels airport and Maelbeek metro station. We Remember 9/11
Whereas it was 12 years ago, that horrifying and heartbreaking day is still clearly etched in our collective memory. The national psyche changed forever on September 11, 2001. Today, once again, the New York anniversary ceremony took on the familiarity of ritual. There were family members reading the names of those who lost their lives, time to reflect, moments of silence. Stress Awareness Month and the Boston Tragedy
Since 1992, April has been Stress Awareness month, but this year we didn’t need a reminder. On 4/15/13 there was plenty of fear and anxiety after the Boston marathon bombing, with three innocent lives cut short that day and 264 injured, several in critical condition. This week on September 11, Americans commemorated the 11th anniversary of the horrendous terrorist attacks on the homeland.
