Rio Olympics: Final Five

                    Our U.S. women’s gymnastics team gave their national coordinator a fitting send off in the final moments before her retirement. In the Rio Olympics, Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Aly Raisman won the team gold. Deciding to call themselves the Final Five was both significant and personal. Healing and Resilience

Tragically, events across America seem to be defining these times as the summer of hate. Divisive rhetoric has spilled over into bloody violence and shootings on all sides during the long weeks. Where are we going as a society with this painful spiral of animosity? Healing, however difficult, can stop the cycle and become a positive response to the pain we feel. Kate and William: Role Models for New Parents

Lots of girls grow up reading fairy tales and hoping to find a prince of their own. Kate Middleton married hers.  Although not necessarily of the royal variety, what young people today need are more positive role models. And it looks like Kate and Will stepped up to the plate when they welcomed their son, His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge.
