Senator Ted Kennedy: Patriarch of the Family

Senator Ted Kennedy was the patriarch of his family, including his brothers’ children and grandchildren. During the memorial, at the funeral eulogies and just speaking informally, family members – young and older – spoke of the impact he had on their lives. Kennedy was a great listener, supportive and a positive force. He shared what he knew about sailing, history and politics. He took the time to remember birthdays and special events.
